Emptying and Disabling of Luna G3 Humidifier

The Luna G3 does not include a removable humidifier or a side cover that can replace the humidifier like other machines, such as the ResMed AirSense 11. However, when travelling with this machine, it is still recommended that the water tub be emptied and humidification settings be changed to off.

To empty the water tub, push down on the water chamber to release it from the machine. This will allow you to take the water chamber off of the device. The water chamber can be opened as simply as lifting the lid using the hinge mechanism. If you intend on travelling with this device, empty the water chamber and then return it into the device by pushing it back down in place over the heater plate.

To disable the humidifier, press the Home button until you are on the home screen on which the settings menu is located. Turn the dial to reach the settings option and press it in to open the settings menu. The first option on this page is “Humidifier”. Press the dial in while “Humidifier” is highlighted and then turn the dial until “Humidifier” is set to Off.

How do I prevent my mouth getting dry while using the Luna G3 on the go?

When using battery power, the option of using a humidifier is limited as it may drain the battery quickly. In such cases, using a Heat and Moisture Exchanger (HME) mask is recommended. Alternatively, BMC HME masks can be used with any machine, although they may not be as comfortable as regular masks.

When you exhale, the HME filter captures heat and moisture and stores it within its tiny paper ridges. HME is ideal when travelling without a humidifier to environments where the humidity levels are low.
