You can usually figure out when something in your CPAP machine needs to be replaced or cleaned based on visual cues like wear and tear or on issues you experience while operating your device. However, based on our years of CPAP experience and with reference to ResMed’s recommendations, the below summary guide should help you for when it’s been a while or you aren’t too sure if it’s time to change your parts.

Daily
Empty the humidifier tub.
Wipe the tub thoroughly with a clean, disposable cloth.
Allow it to dry, but keep it away from direct sunlight.
Refill the humidifier tub.
Weekly
- Air tubing

Rinse each component thoroughly in water.
Allow to dry but keep away from direct sunlight or heat.
Wipe the exterior of the device with a dry cloth.
Notes:
- The humidifier tub and outlet connector may be washed in a dishwasher.
- Do not wash the air tubing in a dishwasher or washing machine.
- The air filter is not washable or reusable.
