Bi-Level Machines
Bi-Level/BiPAP machines are an alternative to CPAP machines and is typically used by those with more severe sleep apnoea.
What makes Bi-Level machines different from CPAP machines is that they offer two distinct pressure settings for inhalation (IPAP) and exhalation (EPAP).
Often times, the IPAP setting is higher than the EPAP, allowing users to breath naturally and comfortably throughout the night. Another benefit of having seperate pressure settings for inhalation and exhalation is that it allows for a more tailored therapy experience.
If you require a Bi-Level machine or are looking to switch from a CPAP to Bi-Level, please consult with a medical professional.
